PP Seoul, which is located on Sowol-gil near Namsan Mountain, is a place that you should visit if you want to take a short break from the hectic life in the city. The owner, who lived in Thailand for four years, opened this café-cum-bar with the hope of sharing the relaxed atmosphere of Thailand with the people in Seoul. The first floor boasts of an exotic ambiance completed with broad-leaved plants. The outdoor rooftop features sunbeds where guests can lounge and relax. Right below the rooftop is Gyeongridan-gil and its charming neighborhood, and far in the distance is a sight of the high-rise Hyatt Hotel.
True to its Thai inspiration, PP Seoul boasts of a wide selection of fruit drinks made with tropical fruits including mangoes, coconuts, and guavas. The most popular items on the menu include Mango Breeze, a cocktail topped with ice cream, and Siam Cocktail, which is a mixture of hibiscus tea and gin. You must make a reservation before visiting PP Seoul. The café is full of guests on the weekends. If you want to secure the best spot, you should make a reservation at least two weeks before your planned visit.

This rooftop bar recently rose to fame after it was featured in the Korean reality TV show, Welcome, First Time in Korea?, which features celebrities’ foreign friends who are touring Korea. The rooftop bar, which is located on the 17th floor of Hotel Cappuccino, is a gintoneria that specializes in gin and tonic. This is a place where you can concoct the one-and-only gin and tonic of your choice. There are wide varieties of gin, tonic water, and garnishes that you can choose from. The garnishes on offer include over 20 herbs and spices, such as star anise, cloves, basil, and cinnamon sticks, as well as fruits.
The bar opens at 6 p.m., welcoming guests to the sight of the glorious nightscape of Gangnam that has just begun to sparkle. The best spot is the bleacher-like seat, where you can sit alongside your company and gaze at the sunset together. A cocktail on this ambient rooftop, surrounded by the colorful neon signs of skyscrapers, is a perfect way to finish off your trip in Seoul.

The Most Seoulist of All Sceneries: Seoulism

Seoulism is a place where you can gain a perfect view of the Lotte World Tower, one of Seoul’s most iconic landmarks where you can take great selfies in front of the unique-looking sculpture that reads “SEOUL.” This place in Jamsil is a café by day and a bar by night. From 1 p.m. to 5:50 p.m., you can order on the first floor and enjoy your food or beverage at the rooftop on the sixth floor. From 6 p.m. to midnight, you can order and enjoy beer and wine, along with finger food, from the sixth floor.
